Necessary preference storage
The site uses the browser’s localStorage to store the key sirocco_consent_v1, containing your analytics-consent choice and the date of the decision. This prevents the cookie banner appearing again on every page and enables the Settings control to work. This preference is necessary for the functionality you requested.
Optional analytics
In the supplied launch build, analytics is disabled because no measurement ID is configured. If a Google Analytics measurement ID is added later, the provided script will load it only after the visitor opts in to the Analytics category. Visitors can reject optional analytics without losing access to content.
Managing consent
Select “Accept optional analytics,” “Reject optional analytics,” or open “Customize” on the banner. To revisit the decision later, select “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you erase local site data. Clearing browser data will remove saved preferences and may cause the consent banner to appear again.
